Palar Agricultural College celebrated India's 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 at the PAC Administrative Block with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The celebration was attended by the students, faculty members, and staff of the college.
The programme commenced with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, followed by Kodi Paattu, Tamil Thai Vaazhthu, and Vande Mataram, creating a strong sense of patriotism and national pride among the gathering.
The celebration was graced by Thiru. K.C. Veeramani, B.A., Chairman, Palar Agricultural College and Member of the Legislative Assembly, Jolarpet, as the Chief Guest. Thiru. J.K.N. Palani, M.A., CIS., Former District Governor – Rotary District 3231 and Founder, Gudiyattam Kamban Kazhagam, Gudiyattam, participated as the Special Guest.
During his special address, Thiru. J.K.N. Palani spoke about the Rotary Club and its service-oriented activities. He highlighted the importance of community service and the role of service organisations in contributing to the welfare and development of society. His address encouraged the students to develop a spirit of service, social responsibility, and active participation in community development.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem, followed by refreshments for the participants.
The 80th Independence Day celebration at Palar Agricultural College served as a meaningful occasion to honour the spirit of freedom and inspire the younger generation to contribute towards the progress and development of the nation.
