Palar Agricultural College successfully organized a Fire Safety Awareness and Demonstration Programme on 23 June 2026 in collaboration with the Fire and Rescue Services Department.
The programme was conducted to educate students on fire prevention, emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and appropriate responses during fire-related emergencies. The resource persons delivered an informative session highlighting various aspects of fire safety and the importance of remaining calm and alert during emergencies.
A live demonstration was conducted by the Fire and Rescue Services team, showcasing the correct use of fire extinguishers, firefighting techniques, and safety measures to be followed in case of fire accidents. The practical session provided students with valuable hands-on exposure and enhanced their confidence in handling emergency situations.
The college was honored to host Mr. Maheshwaran, Station Officer (In-charge), along with Mr. Muthukumar, Mr. Saravanan, Mr. Vinay Prasanth, and Mr. Singaravelan from the Fire and Rescue Services Department. Their expertise and engaging demonstrations greatly benefited the participants.
The programme witnessed active participation from students, teaching faculty, and non-teaching staff.
