An Awareness Programme on “Menstrual Hygiene Management” was organized by Extension Coordinator Dr. A. Vennila Mary, Assistant Professor (Agricultural Extension), in association with Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women Ltd. (TNCDW) on February 14, 2025, at the Palar Agricultural College Auditorium for all girl students (2021 batch – 2024 batch, 230 Girls  students).The Principal and Administrative Officer felicitated the special guests. The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. A. Vennila Mary. Dr. N. Tamilselvan, Ph.D. (Principal, PAC), in his special address, spoke about the importance of maintaining health, dignity, and well-being.The special guest, Mr. Sasidharan, Assistant Projects Officer, Vellore, emphasized the need to break down stigmas and promote inclusivity, empathy, and understanding around Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM).Mrs. Lalitha, District Resource Person, Vellore, briefed the audience on ensuring access to safe menstrual products, adequate sanitation, and education. She highlighted that poor MHM can lead to health risks, discomfort, absenteeism, and gender inequality. She also addressed the challenges in effective MHM, including limited access to products, inadequate sanitation, stigma, lack of education, and environmental concerns.
