SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES
TRAINING PROGRAMMES
I. Hands-on training on Beekeepingfor farmers
The farmers in Pallalakuppam were trained in beekeeping at Palar Agricultural College on 14.06.2023.The training program was conducted by 2019 batch students and led by Ms. S. Sowmiya, Assistant Professor (Entomology), and Dr. J.M. Samraj, Assistant Professor (Entomology)
2. Hands-on training on Bio waste management using Black Soldier Fly:
The hands-on training on bio waste management using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) was conducted by Dr. J.M. samraj, Assistant Professor (Entomology), and Ms. S. Sowmiya, Assistant Professor (Entomology) of Palar Agricultural College at Pallalakuppam. The training covered the effective utilization of food waste in both waste management, where BSF serves as feed and nutrient for cattle, poultry, etc.
II. Hands On-Training for students on Apiculture and Sericulture:
Training sessions covered various aspects of beekeeping, including hive inspection, honey extraction, and sericulture techniques.
