ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Microbiology as a basic and applied science has been considered as an important disciplineofscience,whichhasimplicationsinvariousaspectsofhumanwelfareslike Agriculture, Biotechnology and BioinformaticsThe Department of Agricultural Microbiology was established in Palar Agricultural Collegein theyear of2017. Department of Agricultural Microbiology has evolved with the mandate of achieving academic excellence in the field of education and research in Agricultural Microbiology. 
Since majority of the students are from financially and socially backward, their primary aim is to get a job after their studies with minimum financial expenditure. Department strives to provide quality education, training and research for the development of a knowledgeable populace.Department also aims impart scientific and technical knowledge in all domains of microbiology, nanotechnology and natural products for solving the problems of local and global importance.
