The Computer Science Department was established in 2017 as a subsidiary subject for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture. It is under the division of the Department of Social Science. The computer science laboratory was initially started to accommodate 40 students at a time, but in late 2021 it was upgraded to accommodate 60 students. We train students to be familiar with computer technologies like Microsoft Excel, Access Database, and online mobile application creation and data collection techniques using Google Forms. The department provides comprehensive and effective training to students in the application of computer skills in the field of computer science for the benefit of mankind. A computer science department focused on agriculture education envisions a holistic approach that integrates technology into agricultural learning and practice. The vision revolves around preparing future agricultural professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to leverage technology for sustainable and efficient farming.
