I. VISIT TO COMPOST TECHNOLOGY PARK

Dr. K. Boom raj, Assistant Professor (ENS) has explained about the various composting technology, TNAU bio-mineralizer production and vermicomposting technology.

II. NAMMAZHVAR ORGANIC FARMING RESEARCH CENTRE, COIMBATORE

Dr. S. Janaki, Professor (SS&AC) has explained about organic farming and difference between the organic farming and natural farming.She also explained about various extracts such as Egg amino acids, Fish meal extracts, 3G extracts, Panchagavya, Jeevamirtham and Ganajeevamirtham preparation.

III. POMOLOGY RESEARCH STATION, COONOOR, OOTY.

Mr Hari, Horticulture officer explained about the temperate fruits like Apple, peach, plum, apricot, Pomegranate, Cherimoya, kiwi, persimmon, loquat fruit trees which are grown in that research station and its varieties, Training and pruning method of fruit crops, grafting methods which is used for fruits crops.

IV. SIMS PARK, CONOOR – OOTY

Mrs Geetha (AHO) explained about the Simspark. Total area covered 11. 34 ha. In this Park around 200 tree species are there. Around 1000 trees were grown.

V. VISIT TO SARASWATHY MUSHROOM FARM, KETTY -OOTY

Mrs Shilpa, Mushroom farmer explained about the button mushroom cultivation. She also explained about the media preparation, optimum temperature and moisture level forcultivate the button mushroom to getting maximum yield.
