International Day of Forests Day” was celebrated at PAC Vellore, organized by the Tamil Nadu Department of Forestry, on March 21st 2021. In 2021, the theme for International Day of Forest is ‘Forest restoration: a path to recovery and well-being.’ The ideology behind this theme is to raise awareness regarding importance of forest restoration and its application in well being. Also the tree plantation program was conducted at Wood land area of PAC Vellore. The program was graced by Honorable Principal Dr. Y Hariprasad, Palar Agricultural College Vellore. Mr. Baswant Sushant Pralhad, Assistant Professor (Forestry) intern briefed about the importance of International Day of Forests Day highlighting the need of an hour to conserve the green belt. The program was attended by all staffs members and 2020 Batch students. Mr. C Karthikeyan extended the vote of thanks.
