Palar Agricultural College (PAC) conducted essay competitions as part of the National Constitution Day celebrations to promote awareness and appreciation of the Indian Constitution among its students. Observed annually on November 26, Constitution Day commemorates the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1949 and serves as a reminder of the core values of democracy, equality, and justice.
The event encouraged students to explore various topics such as the significance of the Constitution, the role of fundamental rights and duties, the importance of secularism, and the Constitution’s impact on India’s socio-political development. Participants were also invited to reflect on how the principles of the Constitution could be upheld in everyday life, fostering a sense of responsibility and patriotism among the youth.
The competition served as an excellent opportunity for students to improve their critical thinking and writing skills while deepening their knowledge of India’s democratic framework. It also highlighted the relevance of constitutional principles in addressing modern challenges such as inequality, environmental issues, and social justice.
Winners of the competition were recognized with certificates and prizes, and their essays were displayed on campus to inspire others. This event not only honored the legacy of the Constitution but also empowered students to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.
