The National Constitution Day was celebrated with solemnity and enthusiasm at Palar Agricultural College on 26th November 2024. The event, held in the PAC Auditorium, brought together all staff and students to honor the adoption of the Indian Constitution and reflect on its enduring significance.
The celebration commenced with the collective recitation of the Preamble to the Constitution by the entire PAC community, led by the Principal, Dr. N. Tamilselvan. This symbolic pledge-taking ceremony reaffirmed the commitment of students and staff to uphold the constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity in their personal and professional lives.
Following the pledge, Dr. N. Tamilselvan delivered an insightful keynote address. He emphasized the historical context and drafting of the Indian Constitution, highlighting its role as a guiding framework for the nation’s democracy and governance. He urged the students to imbibe the principles enshrined in the Constitution and apply them as responsible citizens.
The program continued with a thought-provoking session by Mr. Ravi, Professor of Economics, who elaborated on the Constitution’s economic dimensions. He discussed key provisions that promote socio-economic justice, equitable growth, and financial inclusion. His address provided valuable insights into the interplay between constitutional principles and national development.
The event concluded with the vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the organizing team and participants.
