On 27/12/2024, students from the 2021 batch who undertook the SAC 352 course on Rejuvenation of Deteriorated Lands (0+1) as part of their optional course, visited the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) located at Papparapatti, Dharmapuri. During this exposure visit, Dr. N. Tamilselvan, Principal of PAC, along with three staff members—Mr. C. Anbarasu, Assistant Professor (SS & AC), Dr. A. Vennila Mary, Assistant Professor (Agricultural Extension), and Mr. Armani, Assistant Professor (Agricultural Economics)—were present, accompanied by 54 students.
During the visit, Dr. M.A. Vennila, Head and Programme Coordinator of KVK, explained the functions and activities carried out by the KVK. She also discussed the total land area, the major crops grown, and the key activities undertaken at the KVK. Dr. M. Sangeetha, Associate Professor (SS & AC), provided an explanation on soil types, soil texture, soil erosion control measures, and the strategies employed to reclaim salt- affected areas. Ms. S.
