Agro Forestry

The Department of Forestry was started in the year 2017. Initially, it was headed by an Assistant Professor of Forestry supported by a team of Farm Management staff. It was involved in teaching of forestry for graduate students. Since then this department has been catering the research needs of various aspects of forestry and Agroforestry and also provides solutions to the forest management problems faced by the tree growing community. It also serves as nodal department for various extension activities for dissemination of resource management strategies to the tree growing community. The department has mandate to impart education in forestry to students and produce able forest administrators and self- sustaining entrepreneurs.
