In a major collaborative effort to promote environmental awareness and sustainability, Palar Agricultural College, affiliated with Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) jointly organized a Tree Plantation Programme. The initiative aimed to contribute to the conservation of nature and a cleaner, greener environment.
The event was held on 24th February 2025 at the Palar Agricultural College Campus, Melpatti, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, 635 805. Students, faculty, and staff from institutions participated in the plantation drive to spread awareness about the significance of trees in sustaining life and the importance of eco-friendly practices.
As part of their commitment to environmental sustainability, the programme saw the planting of various native tree species to help preserve the natural ecosystem of the region.
