We established Plant tissue culture lab in our department. This lab is opened by our chairman Mr.K.C.Veeramani on 17.5.2023. PTC lab constructed with air conditioner (AC) and equipped with basic facility which is necessary for production of plants through plant tissue culture. Also we initiated different types of plant tissue culture technique in different crops such as micro propagation in banana, Shoot tip culture in Rose, Node culture in Bamboo and Callus culture in Sugarcane. Also we successfully produced Plant tissue culture banana through micro propagation technique in Banana cultivars.
